We are investigating the natural course of autoimmunity against the thyroid in our young people type 1 diabetes, by analysing the data in our VCare system. Changes in the levels of autoantibodies, as well as functional parameters (TSH, free T4), are being studied. The results could help us to optimize screening and diagnostic procedures in the routine follow-up of people with type 1 diabetes.
